Solar Panel Installation
Quick answer
HomeNow designs and installs rooftop solar for homes in Southern California, Nevada and the Phoenix area. We size each system from your past year of utility bills and your utility’s rate plan, inspect the roof first, and handle permits and the utility connection.
What's included

Building permits and the application to connect to your utility.
Monitoring
An app that shows what your system produces.

Read the guide →Solar questions
Will solar eliminate my electric bill?
It depends on your system size, your energy use and your utility’s rules for power you send back to the grid. Most homes still have a small monthly bill or connection charge. Your estimate shows expected production against your actual usage.
How long does solar installation take?
Installation itself usually takes one to three days. Permits, inspection and utility approval add several weeks before the system can be turned on.
Do I need a new roof before going solar?
Only if your roof is near the end of its life. Replacing it first avoids removing and reinstalling the panels later. We check the roof as part of every solar estimate.
Should I add a battery?
A battery stores solar power for the evening and keeps essential circuits running during outages. In California, current rules credit exported solar power at lower rates than in the past, which makes storing your own power more valuable. We show options with and without a battery.
